Book review

Hey everyone! I didn't know if I should do a reading list of books that I love, a list of books I want to read or just review books that I have recently  read.
Anyway, I decided that I'm going to do a book review for a book I recently read for now. I'll start out with " The red Queen" by Philippa Gregory. I've read some of her other books so I felt that I had to read this one as well.
All of Georgy's books are historical fiction focused around female figures in the English Monarch. This one is no different.  Margret Beaufort is the center and a key player in the war of the roses, a war focused on  two cousins fight for the English thrown.  Though a female who thinks her life could be destined for more, she uses her knowledge and cunning for the profit of herself and her son; whom because of several events, prevents her from seeing him.

There is only so much I  can write in a book review! The one theme that I say was the strongest in this book was Margret's struggle to find her place in the world. She wanted independence... You can read in which way and how she manages to "slightly" achieve this.

I love these books because I can picture myself walking with the characters. It's a great way to learn about history. Often,  I find myself doing research about the characters involved so I can figure out the ending before the novels are finished.

The great things about books is that they are available everywhere. You can buy this book at any popular book store, but I chose to rent it from my school library instead.  You can also read the first chapter for free on Gregory's official website

happy reading! Let me know if you read this book or other of Gregory's books.  Let me know any other books you want me to review!
